They have to really be careful. Kapag dinamay na si PNoy, di na natin alam kung ano ang mangyayari (When they involve PNoy, we won’t know what will happen).” TEDDY BAGUILAT, IFUGAO REPRESENTATIVE
The House minority leader and Ifugao representative Teddy Baguilat is reacting to current DOJ Secretary of Justice Vitaliano Aguirre’s implication that there might be a connection to an official higher than De Lima, during a House of Representatives probe regarding the alleged involvement of former DOJ secretary now Senator Leila de Lima, in the illegal drugs trade inside the New Bilibid Prison (NBP). “I’m not saying biglang magbabago ang alignments—that remains to be seen (I’m not saying alignments will suddenly change—that remains to be seen.])”, he added. Baguilat claims not only LP legislators might become involved, but also those who are close to Aquino and former officials of during his term in the government.
“Di ko na alam ano magiging reaksyon ng kasamahan namin right now, except for a few of us na ang mindset is tahimik ka na lang muna (I don’t know how other legislators will react, except for a few of us who are set to keep quiet for now).” While there were no names dropped by Vitaliano, De Lima felt that he might be referring to Aquino, after all the latter was the only official higher than her.
I ask you, sino pa ba ang official na yellow na mas mataas sa akin (who else was a yellow official higher than me)? When I was secretary of justice, I was alter ego of the President and therefore the only one higher than me is President PNoy himself,”
